This back to school season, the Hedonism Foundation is giving back inside and out. We partnered with Little London Primary School in the parish of Westmoreland, and several more all the way to the Hanover parish. Additionally, we hosted our own family Fun Day, giving back to those who make everything possible.

Taking Back-to-School Support Into the Community

Our collaboration with Little London Primary School assisted over 200 students. Each received backpacks filled with essential school supplies. Six students received tablets, and two entering high school, a terrifying time for a teen who already has access to everything they need to succeed, received laptops.  

The giving didn’t stop there. Throughout the Westmoreland and Hanover parishes, 12 more students and a teacher received laptops and two schools received new printing supplies. Finally, six students at St. Paul’s Primary and six students at Church Hill Primary received full textbook sets for the school year. 

Key to Success Scholarship Assistance

Two students from Pell River Primary School, in the parish of Hanover, are also starting high school this year. These teens have each received JMD $40K, or US$250, to keep them on track this school year. Support also reached higher education, with JMD $100K awarded to a student at Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College to help continue her path toward a career in education. When students and families focus less on what they can afford, they spend more time on growth and innovation. 

Family Fun Day: Supporting Hedonism II Team Members and Their Children

Family Fun Day celebrates the hardworking families at the heart of Hedonism II. Throughout this event the Foundation gave team members practical supplies to support their children in the school year ahead:

  • 406 backpacks packed with essential school supplies.
  • More than US$2,500 in book vouchers.
  • 10 Dell laptops distributed for team members’ children.
  • 10 Samsung tablets distributed for team members’ children.
  • More than US$5,600 provided through the Key to Success scholarship assistance program.

Beyond Back-to-School

From supporting children of Hedonism II team members through Family Fun Day to assisting students across parishes, the goal is the same: make sure more students have the tools and support they need to have a successful school year. That starts with going in prepared with practical resources. We’re proud to give back to the community we love.
