In February 2023, the Hedonism II Foundation proudly partnered with Jamaica’s National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) to celebrate World Wetlands Day in a uniquely creative way. Committed to environmental sustainability, we sponsored NEPA’s vibrant Metal Drum Painting Competition, providing drums and painting materials to fifteen talented local schools.
Under the inspiring theme “Wetlands Restoration,” students expressed their creativity and passion for the environment, turning ordinary metal drums into beautiful works of art. Pell River Primary School took home the winning prize, and students were rewarded with book vouchers in recognition of their exceptional artistic talent and dedication.
But the impact didn’t end there—the painted drums were gifted to each participating school, serving a practical purpose by helping students practice proper solid waste management. This competition beautifully combined art, education, and sustainability, demonstrating how creativity and environmental responsibility can come together to build stronger, greener communities.
The Hedonism II Foundation continues to be inspired by our community’s incredible youth and their commitment to a sustainable future. Together, we’re not just imagining a cleaner Jamaica—we’re making it happen!
